We are SO excited to announce that we are officially members of HeARTs Speak! We were absolutely thrilled to learn that there is an organization whose members are all artists that share the same goal as us; increasing the number of animals adopted from shelters and rescues, thereby decreasing euthanasia rates and saving lives. Huge bonus, there are a ton of Pit Bull loving members!

Gertie the Goldenbull was dumped off at a kill shelter after 9 years with her former family, and we can’t figure out why. She is a sweet, well mannered easy going girl. She had stopped eating while she was in the shelter and lost a lot of weight. When Erica and I met up today for her photoshoot, Gertie looked like she had all but given up on life. Her ears were back, her tail and head low, her eyes averted. My heart broke right then and there. How could anyone dump off their dog to die at a shelter, especially after nine years?! Thank God Dolly’s Foundation saved her. After a little bit of cuddling, we were able to get a few smiles out of Gertie.
Meet Dolly’s Foundation‘s newest peanut, Batman. This three week old little monkey was dumped in an empty parking lot and picked up by Animal Services, who then called Dolly’s Foundation when they realized he had a possible broken leg. Turns out, his leg is not broken, but severely infected due to multiple bite wounds; 10 cc’s of fluid were taken out of his tiny leg. This little booger will be available for adoption in 5 weeks when he’s 8 weeks old and all healed up.
